Kristin G. Sherman
Kristin Sherman is a seasoned family law practitioner and mediator, with extensive experience in the Probate and Family and Juvenile Court systems of Massachusetts. She works with couples to mediate divorces and other family law matters outside of litigation, as well as represents individual clients in family law matters such as divorce, paternity, modification, relocation, contempt, support, custody, second-parent adoptions, restraining orders, DCF Fair Hearings, conciliations, and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements (check language). Attorney Sherman is a certified financial litigator and understands how to utilize experts to navigate challenging financial matters as well as difficult custody cases.
Prior to starting her own firm, Attorney Sherman was a partner at a large family law firm on the north shore of Boston for many years where she represented clients throughout the state of Massachusetts in a variety of complex family law matters and was director of the mediation practice. Attorney Sherman began her career as a bar advocate for the Committee for Public Counsel Services, where she served on the delinquency and district court panel and trial panel for the Children and Family Law program, where she represented the interests of children and adults involved in Care and Protection, Termination of Parental Rights, Children Requiring Assistance, Rogers hearings, and delinquency matters in the probate and juvenile courts of Essex County as well as served as guardian ad litem and educational advocate by appointment.
Attorney Sherman was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2004. She continues to be licensed to practice in Massachusetts and represents clients on the North Shore of Boston, and Essex, Middlesex, Suffolk, Norfolk, and Worcester Counties.
